Tractors, tents and messy play.

We hear from Nick every day, despite him being half way round the world with his friend Kieran in Goa. You can keep up with him by visiting the blog we have created at http://kieranandnickinindia.blogspot.com/
Dan is back at school and things seem to be settling down. Because of his diabetes, our days start earlier and we have a strict regime of tests and injections, while keeping a close eye on his food intake. It's really complicated, but he seems to be pretty stable now.

As always, Dan is just Dan, and just as much fun as ever!

This month we have been a bit timid about going too far from home, but there is plenty to do if you are resourceful enough. Camping in the conservatory, chalking the patio, messy play with slime; all are on the menu.
Another favourite activity at the moment is cycling. We go round and round the village with the tandem. Dan is the navigator, so the route is infinitely varied (you might say random). It's exercise and it doesn't involve eating, shopping or watching TV, so it must be a good thing.

At the weekend we went to Dad's work and added tractor driving to the list. Then, this evening, he went out with Bridget and Nina and came back with a bag full of the biggest conkers you have ever seen.
So, despite having to get up early and be prodded and pricked all day, I think that Dan is still having a great time. I'm sure Nick is too.
On Wednesday, its Mum and Dad's turn. Our 26th Wedding Anniversary might involve feeding the cows but it might also involve a visit to Cambridge for lunch.
