Home again

Boston sky-line
We've been home now for two weeks, but our son Nick and his girlfriend Gabby took a road trip after we left and just got here yesterday. They have a lot of tales to tell and some great photos. I hope they will write it all up one day, but I will post the pictures soon.

After seeing us off in Boston they went by bus to New York; just in time for the earthquake. Then they had to leave because of the impending hurricane Irene! Safely back in Maine, they joined crowds at the shore and enjoyed the sheer majesty and force of the wind and the waves. The eye of storm had passed inland through New Hampshire and Vermont and caused extensive flooding, which then impeded their progress to Montreal, Niagara Falls and upper New York State. They spent their final few days searching successfully for a moose and tracking down the real location of Steven King's fictional horrors in Bangor, Maine.

It's great to have them home for a while.

Meanwhile, I've posted some more of my photos, realising that I have previously put up people and wildlife pictures but not many of places, so here they are! CLICK!
